A good place to introduce someone new to Vietnamese cuisine w/ extensive menu. My favorites are seven courses of beef, Tamarind Tree Soup, banh xeo, bun rieu, cinnamon pork balls w/ fresh coconut.

Bridging the divide between no-frills pho joints and higher-end Vietnamese dining, Tamarind Tree has an enormous menu of dishes that feel high end, even if prices may not be. [Eater 38 Member]

Good for lunch, but skip for dinner, unless waiting for 30 min for your order is something you're into. Also, they don't bring out everything at once, so someone's food is gonna get cold

Worst service I've had at a restaurant, probably ever. Skipped us during seating, gave us tea with no cups, 30 min for food, food was all bone, etc :(

Try to come btwn 10a-4p for their $5 an entree deal. You pick from five daily rotating dishes. Portions are normal size. This is a steal!
